I've come to the conclusion that a couple of days ago during that drive, I went through a transition. Maybe I molted. Maybe we all molt several times during our lives.

I went from being an OLD YOUNG to a YOUNG OLD. Does that make any sense?

You know, I have decided to never be OLD. I may be wiser, or more mature but honestly never old. So, adopting this mindset I need to always play, remember to have fun, be active, always learn.

As I am wiser I can teach, mentor, shake my head at the foolishness as I engage in folly.

But never OLD.

That's true, when so often OLD means stuck in the mud, unadaptable, inert. In that sense, that's what is happening to my dad and not my mom as much, even though they're close in age. My dad has just gotten old because that's the way he's allowing himself to become.

You've hit the magical 40's when there suddenly is more behind you than ahead of you, in all probability, so you can no longer be considered young. And experiences give you wisdom so you identify with more mature people. However, I'm with Toy. Don't ever get old and if I get old kick me in the butt til I do something about it. Mom

Old is how you feel, not how many years are on your calendar, that's for sure. But no matter how hard you try, there are still days when fatigue overwhelms you. So you have to get out and DO something.

Don't be afraid to get out and DO what you know you really want to do, which I think for you is to find a new residence. I promise you will harm neither your boys nor your memories.
