After changing his mind 20 times, we have finally arrived at a decision:

GRINNELL.

This was arduous and nerve-wracking. I am sending the deposit check TODAY so it is now final. I will be dropping my son off in a cornfield in Iowa instead of a cornfield in Ohio.

How was prom?

Prom was great for him. I haven't filled up the disposable camera yet so I'm going to take a few more pictures of whatever and then get them developed. They all looked so good. I have a pic of Nathanael putting the corsage on Tara. Will post ASAP. Nathanael ACTUALLY danced with actual living breathing girls and had a good time.

It was inevitable. Iowa shares a border with his favorite state (or so I have heard) Minnesota. Can you say roadtrip! The winters there should prove to be more formidable than the wimpy Ohio type. Does he read Jack London?

Yes, he has read all the Jack London books. He is looking forward to the winters. I still remember winters there when I was really small, especially visiting the farm at Christmas. I still remember when I was 4 there was a blizzard at the farm and I listened to it howl all night and I loved it.
