Well we were gonna go to Nagoya today and NO GO ^the city:s shutting down all its schools in the PM because of the oncoming typhoon! Pretty kewl thing! It:s been raining in Gifu nonstop for 2 days. Not so heavy a rain. I left Tomomi:s umbrella at Gifu Kids: School and everyone is so forgiving, someone else from the competition Hop Step Jump is going to get it since I don:t know the way...well Nagoya castle is out of the question.
My host family is so awesome, they take me everywhere and treat me like a queen. Do they know I:m just a peon? Seriously. Nowhere in the US or anywhere else in the world and rarely even in Japan do they have homes like the Sasagawa home. It is so utterly unspeakably awesome...the scents, the sights, every angle in simple beauty...
Nagoya schools are letting out, actually all of them in Aichi prefecture. Well I missed the hurricanes since I don:t live in Florida. The typhoon headed our way is the biggest in 10 years!!!! I:m excited! Well anyway we:re going to the hot springs and then to another lady:s home for dinner here in Gifu later today. So I think we WILL take a quick and daring trip to Nagoya and come back quickly. For fun. One of Gerry:s appointments in Gifu hung up everything and went home already.
