Last night Micah insisted on getting some new clothes yet again (he wears them out a lot). Well he's recently into hip hop and the other kids compliment him when he wears the name brands so like a typical sellout I take him to the mall where we get some cool tee shirts with funny sayings for cheap, then I told him we'd only get the expensive stuff if it were on sale. We finally found a men's store that had some Rocawear his size. Most of it is for guys about 8 feet tall or babies, hardly anything for a size 28 waist. Well the stuff's expensive but it was a buy one get one half off deal and then he saw a hat behind the counter. He said "can I try it on? Pleeeeeze..." and then cashier gave him the hat and he tried it on. He had such a huge smile...he looked at himself in the mirror....adjusted the hat...cashier said "I'll take $20 for it" (original price = $28) and I said, well OK. Well the rest of the evening Micah just LOVED that hat. I caught him looking in the mirrors and adjusting it, wearing the brim low, tipped to one side, tipped to the other, and then he washed his hair and asked me to comb it. I blew dry it straight and then he put the hat on again and he said, "Mom, I just LOOOOVE this hat!!! This is the BEST HAT ever!" and he hugged and hugged me....he thinks it's the hat but it's his big smile that makes him look like such a cool dude now. Of course he doesn't know it.

And don't let him figure it out, either. Nothing is more charming than an attractive person who doesn't know he's attractive. Ones who know they're something special to look at usually get too conceited and it's ruined. Mom
