The following are pix of Nagoya Castle, home of some of the most famous ancient Samurais. I was able to get through floors 5 through part of floor 2 of the castle. We were then evicted, typhooned.

During the stay I went several times to Nagoya. It's a short train ride from Gifu.

Ann,
I think all of your pics here are great. What a great experience for you to have. WOW that castle is amazing and the decor and the rooms and the garden with the water. And a resturant where you grill your own meat? How cool! The bike picture was so cool to me! Could you imagine being able to leave bikes all over the place? I mean alot of places it would be so ok but some it just wouldnt happen! I love the pics. I would have been terrified of the typhoon. All I know is it looked reallllly wet! What beautiful people there. I bet I would love the aura there. I'm glad you had fun and made little friends. (and big ones too) I would love to go there some day. Amy
